Frequently Asked Questions

How long did you work in the film industry?

John: over 17 years
Vee: over 6 years

Is that how you met?

We actually met at a summer camp for children born with heart conditions called Camp del Corazon when we were 12 years old. We’ve been friends ever since, and just happened to both go into the industry.

Why did you start a podcast?

Vee: We both have life-long love of cinema. It’s a frequent topic of conversation in social situations, and we both finally realized we could put our passion, our experiences,  and our knowledge to good use.

John: Vee and I have been such great friends for over 25 years, and we both value each other as people and professionals, and it felt like the right thing to do!

Do you miss working in the industry?

Vee: Rarely. I enjoyed the creative aspect, everyone working together (usually) to create something for others. And it was fun to work with a lot of different people. But 90% of the time I don’t miss it at all.

John: Not at all. I was leaving at 4a and coming home after 10p and I never saw my wife, I couldn’t do that anymore.

What was your favorite job / celebrity to work with?

Vee: My favorite shoot was stunt driving through downtown LA for a movie.
Hugh Hefner’s bunnies were probably my favorite celebrities to work with, just the sweetest girls.

John: It’s a bit of a list honestly, within the last 5 years, being on Curb your Enthusiasm, Lucifer, and Star Trek Picard are my most favorite experiences. Ray Donovan was also a blast as was Santa Clarita Diet, even though I hated having to go back to Santa Clarita.
